Committees

There are 4 overarching committees made up of MWIMG members, with a chair and board liaison.  These committees meet throughout the year to discuss, plan, and offer recommendations to the Board of Directors on a variety of action items voted on by the MWIMG membership.

  • Elect Her Committee
    Goal: encourage and support women interested in running for local office by hosting trainings for youth or potential local female candidates.
    Board Liaison: Marie Wicks, Maria Willett
  • Elected Officials Academy Programming
    Goal: collaborate with the Elected Officials Academy Advisory Board to develop programming that both promotes MWIMG initiatives and fulfills EOA credits.
    Board Liaison: Rebecca Hopp
  • Mentoring Committee
    Goal: develop expectations, process, recruitment, and assessment of the MWIMG mentoring program which will aim to establish links between newly elected, newly appointed, or new members with seasoned mentors.

  • Digital Community Committee
    Goal: explore options for connecting members digitally, establish clear parameters and protocol for use, and oversee implementation of the network.
